Punch Press Design

This is the basic design for a punch press which makes use of a roller and lever to achieve high compressive forces.

The frame is comprised of 50mm SHS steel, fastened with M10 threaded rod. The lever arm (blue) uses a length of 35x19mm SHS steel. This moves a 23.5mm steel roller that presses down onto a cylindrical rod of the same bar stock, supported by two planar plastic bearing blocks (white).
